Detailed comparison
| Criterion | AlertBolt | Make / n8n / Pipedream / Zapier |
|---|---|---|
| Setup | Copy a URL, paste it in the TradingView alert, pick channels. | Build a workflow: webhook trigger, message formatting, then a Telegram or Discord step. For Telegram, a bot from BotFather and your chat ID. |
| Delivery channels | Telegram, Discord, Email and Push, built in. | Any service the tool can connect to, each connected by you. |
| Who maintains it | AlertBolt runs the webhook and the delivery. | You own the workflow. With a self-hosted tool such as n8n, you also run the server. |
| Custom logic and other apps | No. It delivers the message you send. | Yes. Filters, routing by symbol, calls to other services: this is where these tools are strongest. |
| WhatsApp from a TradingView webhook | Not available. (WhatsApp alerts exist, but are created inside AlertBolt.) | Possible through your own WhatsApp Business API provider, with its template rules. |
| TradingView requirements | Paid TradingView plan and two-factor authentication. | Same: the webhook comes from TradingView. |
| Cost | Pro from $19.99/month with a 14-day free trial. Includes the webhook, price alerts and the MetaTrader 5 EA. Monthly TradingView signal limit per plan. | Each tool has its own plans and limits: check their pricing pages. |
Make, n8n, Pipedream and Zapier are trademarks of their respective owners. Their features and pricing change: check them on their own sites.

Guide: TradingView to Telegram without Make or n8n →Frequently asked questions
Can I use Make or n8n instead of AlertBolt to relay TradingView alerts?
Yes. Make, n8n, Pipedream and Zapier can all receive a TradingView webhook and call Telegram, Discord or other services. You build and maintain that workflow yourself. AlertBolt gives you a ready-made webhook connected to Telegram, Discord, Email and Push.
Can AlertBolt replace Make, n8n, Pipedream or Zapier?
No. They are general-purpose automation platforms that connect many apps and let you add your own logic. AlertBolt does one thing: deliver notifications. If you only need TradingView alerts on your phone, AlertBolt is shorter to set up. If you need custom logic or other apps in the chain, an automation tool is the better fit.
Can Make or n8n send TradingView alerts to WhatsApp?
They can, through a WhatsApp Business API provider that you set up yourself, with that provider's rules (for example approved message templates outside the 24-hour customer-service window). AlertBolt's TradingView webhook does not deliver to WhatsApp. AlertBolt's WhatsApp alerts are created inside AlertBolt (Pro, Elite and Business, with a monthly limit).
Do both options need a paid TradingView plan?
Yes. The webhook comes from TradingView, so TradingView's own conditions apply either way: a paid TradingView plan and two-factor authentication. Check TradingView for the current details.
Which AlertBolt plans include the TradingView webhook?
Pro ($19.99/month, 14-day free trial), Elite and Business (7-day free trial). Premium and Freemium do not include it. Each plan has a monthly TradingView signal limit.
Can I use both?
Yes. A common split is AlertBolt for the notifications you read on your phone, and an automation tool for anything custom, such as logging signals elsewhere.

14-day free trial on Pro. Cancel before it ends.
